Helene Black is an artist and co-founder of the interdisciplinary NGO NeMe (www.neme.org). Since 1992, she lives and works in Limassol where she was born. To date, she has 13 one-person shows both in Cyprus and abroad and has participated in International Biennials and exhibitions such as “Cosmopolis 1, Microcosmos x Macrocosmos, Thessaloniki, 2004, SIKB(r), Soders Biennal Stockholm, 2003, Buenos Aires Biennal 2002 and Cinema Concrete, Sydney 2001. In addition, she has curated and cocurated several exhibitions such as “In Transition Russia 2008” with Sheila Pinkel, “In Transition Cyprus 2006” with Sheila Pinkel, “...So Now What?” (Scope New York and Basel) with Yiannis Colakides, “COR UNUM” 2008 (NCCA, Moscow) with Yiannis Colakides and “Isolomania” (NIMAC) 2008.
